As it happened: Turbo blow takes gloss off thumping Manly win

Total control: Jamal Fogarty ran the show brilliantly for the Sea Eagles, who completed 35 of 45 sets and enjoyed 55 per cent of possession. Fogarty had two try assists, kicked seven goals and racked up 496 kick metres as he steered his team to another impressive victory.

Full-time: The Sea Eagles are now three from three under new coach Kieran Foran after a thumping 38-6 win over a Cowboys side that looked a shadow of the team that beat the Broncos in a thriller last week.

76 min: Tom Dearden grubbers from 20 metres out and Lehi Hopoate gets back to knock the ball dead.

71 min: Tom Chester now has five errors for the night as things go from bad to worse for the Cowboys.

67 min: The carve up continues as Jamal Fogarty grubbers for himself on the last tackle and regains the ball before finding Luke Brooks in support for Manly's sixth try. Fogarty converts. Sea Eagles 36-6

65 min: Taniela Paseka powers through four Cowboys defenders to grab a try that puts the game to bed. Jamal Fogarty converts. Sea Eagles 30-6

64 min: The Cowboys produce their best attack of the night down the right and Braidon Burns looks set to score but Tolu Koula comes up with a sensational trysaver to bundle the winger into touch.

61 min: Jamal Fogarty adds two more points after the Cowboys are penalised for being offside on their own tryline. Sea Eagles 24-6.

58 min: Jamal Fogarty continues to kick to corners and control field position and Tom Chester comes up with another error to put the Cowboys under pressure again.

51 min: Tom Dearden throws a pass a metre forward and the Cowboys hand the ball back to Manly 10 metres out from the Sea Eagles line.

48 min: A long run by Tom Chester has the Cowboys on the attack and they are dragged down just short so Manly are forced to bring it out of trouble again. A monster kick by Luke Brooks pins the Cowboys on their own line.

45 min: Scott Drinlkwater's bomb is well handled by Tolu Koula and Manly come out of trouble.

43 min: A pinpoint bomb from Jamal Fogarty is caught by Jaxon Purdue. The Cowboys go for a short dropout and Clayton Faulalo can't handle.

Forward march: Haumole Olakau'atu continues his fine form with nine runs for 80 metres while Corey Waddell and Siosiua Taukeiaho also punch holes in the Cowboys defence as Kieran Foran's men take a 16-point lead to the break.

Half-time: An abysmal first half by the Cowboys who completed 10 of 20 sets at 50 per cent. A total of 11 errors with Tom Chester making three of those and Jaxon Purdue and Jake Clifford two each.

40 min: Jamal Fogarty chips over the top and Tolu Koula chases through and almost grabs another Manly try as four Cowboys defenders stand around and stare at the ball before Scott Drinkwater bats it dead.

37 min: Jamal Fogarty launches a bomb and Scott Drinkwater makes a meal of the catch. Lehi Hopoate picks up the scraps and strolls into the in-goal area and chooses to pass to Brandon Wakeham who scores. Fogarty converts. Sea Eagles 22-6

36 min: Tom Mikaele goes close for the Cowboys but loses the ball just short of the line as Tolu Koula comes up with a crucial play in defence.

34 min: Another mistake by the Cowboys, this time from Jaxon Purdue. That's eight errors from the home side already.

33 min: Haumole Olakau'atu runs behind his own player and throws a pass to his winger. Manly are penalised for an obstruction. They throw in a captain's challenge and come up empty.

27 min: The Cowboys are penalised for an escort by Zac Laybutt and the Sea Eagles make them pay when Jamal Fogarty grubbers and Ben Trbojevic chases to score. Fogarty converts. Sea Eagles 16-6

26 min: Jake Trbojevic leaves the field for a HIA which he passes.

22 min: Tom Dearden goes to the line and delivers a short ball for Coen Hess to surge between Ben and Jake Trbojevic and dot down for the home team's first try. Jake Clifford converts. Sea Eagles 10-6.

21 min: Jake Clifford goes to the boot, Jason Saab spills it but covers up well and is tackled in-goal. Line dropout.

17 min: Manly go left again and Luke Brooks goes to Clayton Faulalo who sends Lehi Hopoate over in the corner. The Cowboys' right side defence is again exposed as Hopoate goes over without a hand laid on him. Jamal Fogarty converts from touch. Sea Eagles 10-0

16 min: Manly make good metres on their set but Reuben Garrick comes up with a dropped ball on the last.

14 min: A poor error by Reuben Cotter on the Sea Eagles' 30-metre line takes the air out of the Cowboys' balloon.

13 min: A huge blow for Manly with superstar fullback Tom Trbojevic leaving the field with what appears to be a left hamstring injury.

11 min: Kobe Hetherington comes up with an error and the opportunity is lost for Manly.

10 min: More ball for Manly inside the red zone after an error by Tom Chester coming out of his own end. Lehi Hopoate goes close on the left wing but comes up millimetres short in Braidon Burns' cover tackle.

5 min: Reuben Garrick takes an intercept and picks up Jason Saab to put Manly on the attack and the set finishes with Lehi Hopoate crossing in the corner courtesy of a Luke Brooks pass. Jamal Fogarty fails to convert. Sea Eagles 4-0

3 min: Tolu Koula explodes into space on the left wing but slips as he comes to Scott Drinkwater and drops the ball.

Cowboys: No late changes for the Cowboys with Rob Derby the last man to make way 90 minutes before kick-off. Reed Mahoney's bid to recover from a head knock has fallen short, with Soni Luke to start at hooker. Braidon Burns is on track to return from an ankle injury that forced him to miss last week's win over Brisbane. The winger will replace Murray Taulagi, who also suffered a head knock in Round 6. 

Sea Eagles: Nathan Brown has dropped off the bench on game day with Clayton Faulalo and Jackson Shereb rounding out the 19. Jake Trbojevic will play despite suffering a nasty cut that forced him to lose vision in his right eye last week. Prop Siosiua Taukeiaho is also set to complete his comeback from a calf injury that has sidelined him since Round 1.
