Sharks v Roosters: Hiroti to centres; Big guns return

The second game in this week's Perth double-header, Cronulla will be looking to build on their impressive win over the Warriors when they take on the Roosters.

The Sharks have been building nicely over the past few weeks after posting back-to-back losses in Round 2 and Round 3 to be one of the form teams to start this year's competition.

With fullback Will Kennedy continuing to punch above his weight, the Cronulla stars like Nicho Hynes and KL Iro stepped up last round to help sink the Wahs in their 36-22 win.

The Roosters come into this game off the back of a bye, but would have rested well after posting a dominant away win over Manly in Round 4.

Former Sea Eagle Daly Cherry-Evans impressed against his former club, while fellow Queenslander and Tongan international Robert Toia bagged a double in the 33-16 victory.

Helping their cause, the Roosters defied tough conditions at a wet 4 Pines Park to finish with a 96 percent completion rate and will be aiming to continue their good footy against a tough opponent.

Team News

Sharks: The loss of Jesse Ramien to a knee injury brings Mawene Hiroti into the centres. Prop Tom Hazleton has been named on the interchange despite picking up an ankle complaint on Sunday. Tukupa-Ke Hau Tapuha is the new face on the six-man bench and would be the logical replacement should Hazelton fail to come up.

Roosters: The Roosters receive a triple boost for their trip west with Spencer Leniu (hamstring), Victor Radley (club sanction) and Egan Butcher (concussion) all named. The loss of Billy Smith to a knee injury sees the versatile Hugo Savala lines up at centre.
